ON MEASUREMENT

The legal profession runs on reputation: peer ratings, directories, word of mouth. The federal record runs on outcomes. The two do not always agree. I am building the instruments that reconcile them.

ON MACHINE INTELLIGENCE

I use it daily and trust it never. Every authority is checked against the primary source before it is cited. The standard is not whether a machine drafted the sentence; it is whether the citation survives verification.
